Songwriting Challenges

We’ve been doing annual songwriting challenges since 2020. Every year since 2021, we’ve also invited our listeners and previous guests to take part and submit thier answers to the challenges.

Songwriting challenges are a great way to get yourself out of your usual creative boxes. By forcing you to think differently about your song, you open up new techniques and new ways to write songs. Sometimes song challenges can result in a springboard for another, better song. But at the very least, you explore a new tool for your songwriting toolbox.

It’s always great fun doing these challenges, and we’re espeically grateful to our listeners and previous guests who take part and submit their songs. Our challenges are certainly a highlight of the show each year.
